The Duchess of Sussex had found her way in trouble after her own legal team revealed it that she was given a copy of the book ‘Finding Freedom’ before it was released to the public.

Despite Meghan Markle and her team feverishly denying reports of her being in corroboration with the authors of the unauthorized biography, it has since been reported that this is not true.

In a bid to win the court case against Mail, the Duchess’s team has taken a different path in handling the situation.

Earlier this year, the Duchess and her legal team lost their battle in claiming that the use of Mail of ‘Finding Freedom’ as part of their defense is erroneous. The overseeing judge of the case has since denied this.

According to The Sun, Markle’s team claims that the Duchess was given the book before its serialization and had it was too late for her to make requests for changes to the book.

"The Claimant’s US publicist was only given a copy of the Book immediately before its serialization, by which time it had already been printed. It was therefore too late for the Claimant to ask for any changes to be made.” An excerpt from the court documents said.

The authors of the book, Carolyn Durand and Omid Scobie, also denied working with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, but there have been several reports saying otherwise.

Meghan Markle’s ongoing legal battle with the Mail started two years ago after Mail published private letters of hers, which she sent to her father, Thomas Markle.

Earlier this week, it was reported that Meghan Markle issued a request to the Judge of the case to delay the trial inevitably. Her request has since been granted, and the trial, instead of happening on January 11, next year, has been moved to autumn 2021.

The 10-day trial will see to it whether the Duchess’s claims of breach of privacy are true. This has also put Meghan in hot waters after several of her requests regarding the trial was denied in the past.

The reasons behind the change of date have been cited as ‘confidential.’ There is no news from the side of the Sussex’s and it is most likely due to the ongoing pandemic that Meghan has requested for a change of time.

Meghan Markle and her family is situated in the US but the trial will be held in the UK.
