The spoiler states that Elaina will turn down an offer made by a school student to accompany her in the city. Turns, she was Fran waiting at the end of a fierce chase.

The episode starts with the narrator narrating a tale of love. There was a princess who fell in love. She was a princess who was in a romantic relationship with a commoner. 

The scene changes to Elaina flying over a kingdom that is in ruins. She wonders if they waged a war in the city. 

It is freezing and Elaina has no choice but to spend the night in the town before heading toward the next town. She notices that there is only one building intact in the entire town. 

In Witch: The Journey of Elaina Episode 4, she enters what looks like a massive palace. 

Later, she meets the owner of the palace and tells her that she is a traveler. 

The lady introduces herself as Mirarose. Elaina could not stop herself from asking Mirarose about the sad state of her town. However, Mirarose reveals that she doesn’t know what transpired in the town. 

Moreover, she doesn’t know how she landed there in the first place. She tells Elaina that she opened her eyes one day and found herself in the middle of this country, which is completely in ruins. 

Elaina wonders if Mirarose has amnesia. She shows Elaina a note that is addressed to Mirarose, the queen of this land. The contents of the letter contain ways to survive in these harsh conditions.
