Throughout the primary, Joe Biden showed he was the Democrats' best candidate that can not only beat President Donald Trump in the Nov. election but also overturn the Senate and return Democrats to broader power in the United States' capital. With Election Day around the corner, the former vice president is leaving no stone unturned in a bid to bring that to fruition.

Accompanied by top Democrats running in the constantly changing Georgia's dual Senate races, Biden campaigned in the state on Tuesday. His wife, Jill Biden, was in Maine along with Sara Gideon, the Democratic candidate who will be locking horns with GOP Senator Susan Collins.

Biden is also slated to make his first stop in Iowa on Friday, since the state's unfortunate caucuses, where the neck-and-neck Senate race has become the second most expensive in the United States. Moreover, Biden and Trump have locked in a close race themselves.

The former veep hasn't yet campaigned with every Senate of the party, even in the swing states where Democrats are competitive at both levels. His visits to Georgia and Iowa undermine how important Biden has been in Democrats' attempt to overturn the Senate.

Moreover, his stops also show how important Georgia and Iowa have become this year. While neither of the two states is important for Biden to beat Trump in the Electoral College, winning in either state would enhance the party's chances of taking the Senate, and winning both states would nearly guarantee it, according to POLITICO.

Democratic nominee for lieutenant governor of Georgia in 2018 Sarah Riggs Amico said Biden is visiting Georgia because he realizes he can win, and these Senate races are absolutely in action. She went on to say if Democrats end up winning both these Senate seats in Georgia, it will be mathematically impossible for Mitch McConnell to be majority leader.

Biden held a drive-in rally in Atlanta, featuring 365 cars and about 800 people after Ossoff and Warnock had already addressed the attendees. Riggs took to her Twitter account to post a short clip showing a large, fired-up crowd waiting for Biden to address the crowd.

The 36-year Senate veteran said it is important for them to overturn the United States Senate, and there is no state as crucial as Georgia in that fight. Biden's camp plans to keep as many options as possible on the table this spring as it seeks 270 electoral votes. The campaign also insisted that Biden's trips are planned to keep their aim of winning the presidency in mind, rather than just making trips encourage Senate hopefuls.
