Taylor Swift adds another feather to her cap. The 30-year-old singer has been in the forefront of the music industry for a very long time, probably since the inception of her career – and with her eight studio album “Folklore” during the coronavirus lockdown, she has once again given a strong statement why she is at the pinnacle of the industry.

Taylor Swift’s indie folk, alternative rock, electro-folk, and chamber pop album has just become the first studio album of the unusual year 2020 to cross the 1-million sales mark in the United States alone.

In addition, Billboard announced that "Folklore" has reclaimed the No. 1 position on the 200 Chart in the eighth week.

Nielsen Music has rolled out data that suggests that the sales of her eight studio album in currently towering over 1.038million copies and the count is anticipated to increase over the coming months as Christmas approaches. After all, it’s an album based on life and love which goes well with the winter.

The sale has seen an incredible surge in the second half of the current half which has been over  6 percent of the overall sales. As reported by Metro citing Hollywood Reporter, Taylor’s album sold another 57,000 copies in the US in the week ending October 22. Call it the encouragement of the festive season or any other form of inspiration, people just don’t seem to get enough of Taylor’s magical voice.

The album was kept under wraps until it was released back in July – even Taylor’s label didn’t know what she was up to. The “Folklore” collaborator Aaron Dessner, from the band The National shed light on what it exactly was like to be in Taylor’s secret music plan.

As per Metro, in conversation with Pitchfork, Dessner said, “There was no outside influence at all. In fact, nobody knew, including her label, until hours before it was launched.”

Just Jared has reported, besides the great feat with sales numbers, Taylor Swift is also nominated for the American Music Awards for 2020 in the Artist of the Year category alongside Justin Bieber, Post Malone, Roddy Ricch, and The Weeknd.

Next, she is also nominated for the Favorite Artist Female alongside Dua Lipa and Lady Gaga. Taylor eight album has bagged a nomination in the Favorite Album – Pop/Rock category joining Harry Styles’ “Fine Line” and The Weeknd’s “After Hours.”

All considered, For Taylor Swift, this year is turning out to be exactly what a singer dreams of – superb ranking, ruling charts, breaking records, and earning awards.
