Tom Cruise has been estranged from his daughter, Suri Cruise for years. But a tabloid claimed that this finally changed last year.

According to Star, Cruise finally reunited with Suri years after the teenager reached out to him nonstop.

Despite the happy reunion, there’s one person who was not thrilled. The source said that Katie Holmes couldn’t be more worried about her daughter seeing her dad.

But after the Dawson’s Creek star learned how happy Suri was to be with her dad, she decided that maybe it’s the right time for them to get to know each other better.

However, an entire year has passed and there haven’t been any photos from the father and daughter’s reunion. According to Gossip Cop, this proves that the so-called reunion never took place last year.

Last year, the rumor-debunking site already debunked the tabloid’s claims after talking to a rep for the actress. They were told that Holmes’ daughter didn’t reach out to Cruise or ask if they could meet up.

According to reports, the Mission: Impossible star cut ties with Holmes and their daughter shortly after their relationship ended in 2012. This means that Cruise hasn’t spoken to his daughter in eight years.

Mirror UK previously claimed that Scientology was one of the reasons why Holmes and Cruise divorced. The actress joined the religion, but she quit shortly after and Cruise wasn’t thrilled.

A source also told People that Suri is old enough to realize that she doesn’t have her dad around. But Holmes is raising her in such a way that she’d know that both her parents love her even though she doesn’t see her dad.

Cruise and Suri last saw each other when they went to Disneyland in 2012. According to Samantha Domingo, a former Scientologist, Cruise’s religion has banned him from hanging out with his daughter because she’s not part of the religion.

While speaking with Us Weekly, Domingo said that Cruise must have hung out with Suri then to avoid getting criticized. It’s also possible that he did it for the photos.

Domingo also said that Cruise doesn’t see Suri as his daughter. Rather, he thinks that she’s just a spiritual being in his daughter’s body.

However, another former member of Scientology denied Domingo’s claims. The unnamed source told Us Weekly that Scientologists can see their family and friends who are not part of the religion anytime they want.
