Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox are, allegedly, planning a project that will feature just the two of them.

After the Friends co-stars agreed to reunite for a reunion special with Matthew Perry, David Schwimmer, Lisa Kudrow, and Matt LeBlanc, they, allegedly, realized how difficult it is to bring everyone together.

According to Closer, Aniston and Cox are the only two cast members who have been doing all the leg work for the Friends reunion. As such, they just want to work with each other next time.

During the lockdown, Aniston and Cox also spent a lot of time with each other. And this made the best friends realize that they could really depend on each other 100 percent of the time.

“Jen and Courteney feel the closest and are the most committed to the reunion. They’ve said that if the others don’t want to do anything past the one-off reunion episode, then they would consider doing a spinoff with their characters or a new project which is exciting them both,” the source said.

Meanwhile, Cox is also, allegedly, happy that Aniston got a new rescue puppy to take care of. After all, the Scream star is, allegedly, worried that Aniston might feel a little bit lonely when she’s at home by herself.

Cox also, allegedly, sent Aniston a huge bouquet of dog presents. And she’s looking forward to going on a hike with her best friends and their dogs once it’s safe for them to do so.

In related news, Aniston and Cox have known each other for years. And their bond became even stronger after they supported each other through their most heartbreaking splits.

Aniston previously revealed that she stayed at Cox’s guest room a lot after her split from Brad Pitt and Justin Theroux. And The Morning Show star was also there for Cox when she split from David Arquette.

“They’ve been each other’s rock throughout lockdown. And they want to come out the other side brimming with ideas and projects,” the source said.

As of late, there is still no word as to when the Friends reunion special would air. It was supposed to air earlier this years but was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
