"Euphoria," the drama series that debuted last year in 2019 and currently stands as one of the most beloved shows right now, is coming back to give fans an early Christmas present. The actress-come-singer, Zendaya, who is in the main role as Rue Benett, has said it’s time for the fans to get excited.

Taking to Instagram, Zendaya floated the news about the teen drama series’ arrival towards December this year – and yes, it sparked a frenzy among the lovers and viewers of the show.

With a post tagged to Hunter Schafer, Zendaya shared a close-up snap of an eye and slipped in the exciting news.  The 24-year-old television actress wrote on everyone's behalf that everyone missed the episodes of Euphoria, here it is, “Two special 'Euphoria' episodes coming soon. First one December 6th on @hbo.”

During her appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" in August, the actress said, "We’re trying to figure out how to eventually be able to create a season two that we’re all really proud of and get all the best out of it that we want but also still being very safe."

Following its release last year, the teen drama series met with incredibly positive reviews from both critics and fans. Everything from its cinematography, story, to impeccable performances, specifically those of Zendaya and Hunter Schafer grabbed hold of the attention of viewers and were showered with loads of praise. Most importantly, its mature subject matter came out really well, something that the audience could connect to.

But not everything about the show was positive, in contrast to lauds, the show also garnered a good deal of backlash and criticism due to its use of nudity and sexual content, which were thought to be excessive and depriving it of its essence.

Thanks to its improvised concept and close to perfect performance, the show received nominations for the British Academy Television Award for Best International Programme. In addition to that, Zendaya bagged Primetime Emmy Awards and Satellite Award in the best actress in a drama series category.

The first of the two special episodes is titled “Trouble Don’t Last Always,” and as informed by Zendaya is slated to air on December 6 on HBO exclusively in the US.  The dates for release in the United Kingdom and Asia have not been released yet.

Following the successful first season, the episodes will circle around drug addict Rue’s celebration of Christmas and of course under the new regime of living due to the coronavirus.

Hoping is that the good work will continue with special episodes.
