It has been two weeks since American singer Demi Lovato, 28, dropped a very emotional song that sings about her breakup with the Young & The Restless star Max Ehrich, 29. Having that said, the actor-singer blurted out his response through releasing a song.

Afraid by Max Ehrich

On Oct. 16 (Friday), Ehrich posted on Instagram that announced his newest song release titled Afraid. Along with the post is the caption that says it is terrifying and a significant risk to be in love, but no matter how people deny the fact, what matters at the end of the day is everyone's need or it.

"Afraid to give up my heart / I'm afraid to be overthrown / but afraid to be, afraid to be alone," part of the lyrics sings.

As per Hollywood Life, the song's concept is apparent that the singer is "afraid to love" and that he doesn't want to lose the person he loves so much.

Ehrich-Lovato, from fiancées to strangers

The all-star couple decided to go their separate ways after six months of being together; the matter also includes two months for their engagement.

Despite the sweet gestures and relationship of both, it seems like Lovato's fans accuse the actor of hurting their idol. However, on Oct. 2, Ehrich stormed over his Instagram Live to end all allegations, calling them false.

While addressing the issues thrown at him, Ehrich also quashed Lovato's song allegedly about their breakup. The actor exclaimed that Lovato only used their relationship as a publicity stunt. He added that the world knows how he is so in love, but now that he knows about Lovato using him, he wishes for her to be happy.

He added that he doesn't care anymore if people make him a villain, but he hopes no one ever has to deal with the same experience as it is the most bizarre thing in the world.

Newfound love?

Just a week after an all-out session on his Instagram Live, Ehrich proved that the breakup could not hinder him from being happy.

On Oct. 13, the actor was spotted with American Idol season 15 contestant Sonika Vaid, where he wrapped his arms around her. Shortly after the incident, Lovato was seen with Mod Sun.

Meanwhile, a source has revealed that Lovato still wishes for Ehrich's happiness despite what happened between them. She is currently in the process of moving on with the help of her supportive family and friends.
