Meghan McCain seems to find perfect contentment in her life after giving birth to a baby girl. The 35-year-old columnist welcomed the little bundle of joy on Sept. 28 with her husband, Ben Domenech.

The Good Morning America host shared the first picture of her baby girl, Liberty, on Instagram. In the snap, McCain was holding the little one in her arms with a fresh, glowing face while looking straight into the camera lens.

McCain had a wide smile on her face while the baby's face was kept close to the author's chest as she swaddled Liberty. The Daytime Emmy Award-nominated television personality captioned the picture as "Bliss" and added a Statue of Liberty and black heart emojis.

There were many fans and followers who remarked McCain on how beautiful she looks to be a new parent. The columnist shared a couple of months ago that she and her husband are willing to keep the pregnancy absolutely personal.

One of the reasons was that she received numerous negative comments on social media following her father's death. McCain's father, John McCain, who was a former United States senator, died in August 2018 due to cancer.

She explained before that death taught her why it is important to be tight-lipped regarding her private matters. McCain said that the decision was made by her and her husband consciously in order to protect their growing family and to keep all sorts of negatively away from the family.

"I believe children have a right to privacy and hope you will all understand as we navigate this as much as possible going forward without sacrificing our comfort or safety," she said.

While McCain didn't want to sacrifice the positive vibe around her family, she noted how inhumane netizens online plays an important part in ruining social media. She revealed that the lessons get learned about the cruelty of social media was hard.

She admitted that being vulnerable and open about her personal details amid her father's cancer battle was a huge mistake. While McCain wanted to keep everything personal, she has been sharing minor information about her pregnancy journey during the summer.

It seemed that she might be choosy with the information but continue to share some of the other information about the little one whenever she feels comfortable and safe. McCain explained that it might be an "unorthodox choice," but the support, prayers, and kind words she gets from people means a lot.
