Talent shows on television without Simon Cowell can best be defined as a cold drink in absence of fizziness. Cowell can’t let that happen to television, so he may be back early 2021 after he has had full rest.

Simon Cowell was hospitalized after he fell off his electric bike while taking a ride in Malibu. The accident that took place at the beginning of August rendered him in need of back surgery – for which he has been under extensive care since then.

Simon’s surgery is successfully completed and reportedly, he is doing very well now. The 61-year-old had to return to wrap up the current season of "Britain’s Got Talent" as a judge, but as per his doctor’s advice, he should avoid flying back to the UK for now as he still needs good rest.

The doctors have suggested that Simon needs six more months to fully recover from the injury which means, he will have to skip his shows, public appearances, etc.

As per a report presented by MailOnline, Simon will be on hiatus for the time being and will rest well to be back in 2021 for Britain’s Got Talent in full form.

The report said, “Simon was advised not to fly back to the final [of Britain’s Got Talent] by doctors. He is walking a lot and swimming and feeling great – but focusing on being on top form for the start of filming for "Britain’s Got Talent" 2021 in January.”

Simon Cowell was initially expected to make a return to the UK for the BGT Christmas special but due to an unfortunate turn of events, he had to pull out of it. As per reports, Ashley Banjo is the first one in the list to replace Simon in the judging panel in his absence, while Amanda Holden stays as head judge for the time being.

Simon is being awfully missed by his colleagues at the show. The current head judge Amanda said she was missing Simon’s presence very badly.

As per her, Ashley is doing a good job but the silliness that they are used has flown away without him. She also added that she keeps a good watch at his health and keeps in touch with his girlfriend Laurel Silverman who told her that Simon’s strong determination to get better is “brilliant.”

Hoping is that he will be back soon at the beginning of the next year in his best shape ever.
