Sharon Osbourne opened up about the overwhelming surprise she received from her close friend and former co-host on The Talk, Sara Gilbert. The 68-year-old television personality recently celebrated her birthday on Oct. 9 when she received a surprise visit from her the 45-year-old actress.

In an interview with ET, The Sharon Osbourne Show star spoke about her emotional reaction to the visit Gilbert made on-air that eventually made Osbourne cry with immense joy. Even before Gilbert appeared on the show, Osbourne was in tears as she looked at the pre-recorded video by The Big Bang Theory star sent specially for her birthday.

Gilbert sent an emotional message in the tape that revealed how much she adores the former co-host and she couldn't wait to meet the Osbourne again. However, Osbourne was touched and surprised when she actually came out on the show from the backstage and the host couldn't stop her tears.

Osbourne started to blew kisses to Gilbert as she saw her live while Gilbert took a chair for herself and sat at a six-foot distance from the host due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. It was an emotional moment for the stars and the viewers who saw them coming together after a long time.

Osbourne told Kevin Frazier about the surprise she received and how emotional she got after looking at Gilbert in person after such a long time. She admitted that she kept crying as she saw her husband, all her girlfriends, and eventually, Gilbert.

She further explained that Gilbert was like the cherry on the top after meeting so many people she had marveled over the years. Although the mother of three considered the ongoing pandemic and said that she didn't expect a lot on her birthday.

Osbourne said that she has been looking forward to absolutely nothing on her birthday and felt it would be depressing. However, she noted how this birthday turned out to be so special while she thought it would be just like any other birthday and it will pass like any other day of the pandemic.

"And it's just been amazing, and listen, we're nearly at the end of the year and I’m just hoping that next year is going to be a blessed one for everybody," she said. She further revealed her plans to celebrate with her husband's favorite cake while she received her favorite present from Ozzy Osbourne.
