The new episode is set to introduce Princess Leona, who belongs to the Papnica Kingdom. However, in Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai Episode 2, the beasts attack and things get complicated for the protagonists. The episode is titled Dai and Princess Leona.

The official preview trailer for Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai Episode 2 showcases Princess Leona in action. Meanwhile, Dai and Leona get cornered after a mysterious attack.

“Princess Leona of Papnica Kingdom arrives at Dermline Island. Dai guides her across the island, but mysterious monsters attack. Dai and Leona fall into peril. Just then, Dai is enveloped in a mysterious light. Next time on Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai, Dai and Princess Leona,” reads the preview of the new episode.

In the first episode of the anime series, Dai grows up on an island and his Grampa Brass tells him to focus on his magic training.

Later, Dai recalls a swordsman of justice, called the Hero, who battled the Dark Lord. The Hero joined forces with his comrades and defeated the Dark Lord at last.

However, the monsters under the Dark Lord were let go and came to live on Dermline Island.  

Grampa Brass tells Dai that he is set to become a great Mage and help the Hero someday. However, Dai wants to become a Hero.

Meanwhile, a massive ship is sailing toward the island and Dai thinks it is the Hero. Dai asks Merman to take him to the ship. Dai expects to meet a real Hero on the ship.

However, the Hero is not what Dai expects him to be. What happens when he meets his Hero?

Watch Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai Episode 2 online via live streaming on Crunchyroll and Hulu. The episode is slated to hit the airwaves on Friday, Oct. 9, 2020. The episodes are in Japanese with English subtitles.
