The newest project of Prince William called ‘Earthshot’ has gathered many praises from many heavy names across the globe.

An initiative that was first announced by the Duke of Cambridge last year has been thoroughly discussed over the few months.

Amongst them who praised Prince William for this project are former President of the United States, Barack Obama, former Democratic Presidential ticket Hillary Clinton, and many others.

Author and politician Barack Obama tweeted praise for Prince William’s ‘Earthshot’ project, saying that the project of the future King of England is pivotal to saving the planet.

Hillary Clinton also sent a tweet regarding the project urging people to send their ‘boldest ideas’ to Prince William’s ‘Earthshot’ initiative.

The Prince was recently invited to do a TEDTalk with other environmentalists, focusing on the subject of saving the planet from the brink of destruction.

TEDTalk invited the likes of Al Gore, Chris Hemsworth, Jaden Smith, and other notable names.

The Duke of Cambridge was part of the 4th panel to talk about climate change.

During the TEDTalk, Prince William explained ‘Earthshot,’ citing that the project aims to fund individuals, organizations, and teams over a 10-year period, starting from 2021 to 2031.

‘Earthshot’ has five main themes that it will tackle over the said period of time. These are as follows, protecting and restoring nature, cleaner air, reviving oceans, waste-reduction and climate change.

To those who will be chosen, ‘Earthshot’ will fund the entirety of their research. Prince William has revealed the enormous budget for the project, which is over $65 million.

The Duke of Cambridge also explained the influence of ‘Earthshot,’ according to the royal, the initiative was inspired by NASA’s Moon Project, which was also called ‘Moonshot.’

The ‘Moonshot’ project was roaring success, seeing several innovative inventions being used today launched due to the initiative.

Prince William hopes that this will be his legacy as someone who has a huge platform. The Prince has used it to create something that will leave the Earth a better place than when he found it.

"This is me putting my stamp on what I can do in my position to really galvanise and increase the interest and tackle some of these issues and drive a decade of change to help repair the planet,” The Prince commented on the project.

Environmentalist Sir David Attenborough is also one of the main partners of ‘Earthshot.’ Recently, the two met for the early screening of Sir Attenborough’s newest documentary.
