The "Emily in Paris" star is engaged, the world knows about it and is delighted. However, there is no denying that fans would have loved to hear Lily Collins talk about it.

So, here it is – Lily does it. During her latest discussion with the "Charlie’s Angels" star, Drew Barrymore on her talk show "The Drew Barrymore Show," the actress got candid about her relationship with her boyfriend.

Drew has just started her talk-show bit, however, considering the quality of her knack to get things out of celebrities, she should have started it pretty early. Though, it’s never too late. The actress asked her string of questions about her relationship and fortunately, Lily didn’t back off as a diplomatic celebrity who likes to keep the major updates of their relationships under the wraps.

Lily Collins says she is the "happiest" she has ever been in her entire life in the wake of her engagement with her longtime boyfriend, Charlie McDowell.

As Drew tried to dig deeper into Charlie’s overall personality asking lily if he is lovely and kind, Lily responded in a way that answers the question best – she said that she is the luckiest, happiest, and so grateful to be with him. Well, that sums it all up about the significance of the director’s presence in Lily’s life.

Well, for those who don’t know much about McDowell, he is the son of British actor Malcolm McDowell and American actress, Mary Steenburgen. He is a director cum writer by profession whose resume includes 2014’s critically acclaimed thriller, The One I Love.

Besides talking about her relationship, love, and likes of the same, Lily also shed light on her early life as a daughter of famous parents.

She said, "It gave me such a drive to want to feel like I deserved to be where I am. There is a saying, 'Personality can open doors, the character keeps them open.' It's like for a certain amount of time the last name could be something that's interesting but at the end of the day, you've got to bring something to the table."

The actress further added on to say that she had to grow up “quicker” than other kids of her age, but that also helped her understand the highs and lows of life also – and she has chosen it again for her life.

Now, Lily is on her path to building a family – what remains to see is when she takes another big step in her lovely relationship.
