Princess Eugenie just announced that she and Jack Brooksbank will welcome their first child during the first quarter of 2021.

But immediately after, tabloids have started saying that so much is expected from the royal couple’s firstborn.

In fact, Woman’s Day recently dubbed Princess Eugenie’s unborn child as a band-aid baby because it will, allegedly, be expected to heal the royal family’s ongoing rift.

However, this is pretty much the only thing that the tabloid said about Princess Eugenie’s baby healing the royal family’s right. It’s another case of a misleading headline.

A source told the tabloid that the arrival of the royal couple’s baby will be welcome news. After all, it will be the first grandchild of the York family.

“This has been the tonic the whole family needed. Eugenie and Jack are delighted and told Sarah and Andrew a couple of weeks ago. They are both utterly thrilled. It’s been a long time since the Yorks had some happy news, frankly. The news has also been welcomed by the queen, who is very close to Eugenie,” the source said.

Meanwhile, even though Princess Eugenie became pregnant before her older sister, Princess Beatrice, Express revealed that the latter was still the one that broke the royal motherhood mold first.

The publication revealed that Princess Beatrice happens to be the first blood princess in the House of Windsor that took on the role of a stepmother. After all, her husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi already has a son from his previous relationship.

“Beatrice could have been any other mother on the school run. She welcomed the little boy out of school with a big hug and then took his bag while he set off on his scooter. It was quite touching how close they seemed. She clearly dotes on the little boy,” an onlooker said.

Another source revealed that Princess Beatrice dotes on Mozzi’s son, Wolfie. And they also talk on the phone all the time.

“She’s ensured there are loads of pictures of him up in their house, so he feels like he has two families, and they do get on well. She has instigated a lot of that, rather than Dara,” the source said.

As such, when Princess Beatrice and Mozzi tied the knot, they gave Wolfie an important role at their wedding.
