Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are now in Canada after Queen Elizabeth II granted their request to step down as senior members of the royal family. Although the Sussexes already get what they want, there are reports the Duke of Sussex is "deeply upset" over the result of the deal made after the royal crisis talks at Sandringham summit.

At Prince Harry's recent charity dinner before he left Britain to be with his family in Canada again, he expressed his disappointment over the crafted deal following their royal exit. In his speech at the Sentebale fundraising feast in West London, he revealed how he felt there was no option left for them but to step down.

"The decision that I have made for my wife and I to step back is not one I made lightly," he said. After a lot of talks and challenges, he felt like they were left with no choice.

In the deal, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle would stop using their HRH titles from spring. They would also stop officially representing Queen Elizabeth and would not be receiving public funding. Amidst of all these agreements, what reportedly made him upset the most was the removal of his military titles.

"Our hope was to continue serving the Queen, the commonwealth, and my military associations, but without public funding. Unfortunately, that wasn't possible," he emotionally explained. Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams claimed that the loss of his military titles affected Meghan Markle's husband.

He told Express that the loss of Prince Harry's military links, especially his being Captain-General of the Royal Marines "deeply upset" him. He even continued the royal family's tradition of military service through his two tours of duty in Afghanistan.

Since Prince Harry could no longer wear his uniform, he would surely feel his title's removal. Fitzwilliams believed that the obvious choice to take his vacant military titles would be his brother, Prince William.

Meanwhile, in a different article, Fitzwilliams also revealed that Prince Philip might have something to do with the removal of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's HRH and military styles. He explained that the Duke of Edinburgh remains loyal to his devotion to Queen Elizabeth and the monarchy itself. Hence, there is a big possibility that he may have taken "a dim view" of the royal couple's recent activities.

Prince Philip may have played a role in the decision making of not allowing Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to continue using their HRH titles following their royal exit. He may also play a part in stopping them from performing their royal duties part-time.
