Chadwick Boseman’s death a month ago continues to affect the people he has worked with. The most recent co-star to share a touching tribute to the Black Panther star is British-American actress Sienna Miller.

The Hollywood Reporter says Miller has revealed in a new interview that Boseman had given up part of his salary so that she could be paid the amount that she was asking for from the studio. This was for the film 21 Bridges, which Boseman and Miller had worked on together.

Miller says she was hesitant to share the story at first but decided to talk about it so that it could serve as a testament to Boseman’s good character. According to Miller, she could not imagine another man in Hollywood behaving in such a gracious and respectful manner.

Variety also quotes Miller as saying that when Boseman first offered her the role on 21 Bridges, she was hesitant to take it on as she had a daughter that was set to go to school and she had already felt like she needed a rest from work.

She told the studio that she would do it if she was compensated accordingly, and when the studio would not budge, Boseman stepped up to the plate and said that she would be paid what she’s worth and what she deserves.

Miller said that she has shared this story privately with other male actor friends. She said the reaction from these friends are often silence and that they probably have to go home and think about things for a while.

Aside from Miller, another Boseman co-star to pay tribute to the late actor is Lupita Nyong’o, who was his co-star on the billion-dollar hit, Black Panther.

In an Instagram post, Nyong’o shared a photo of her and Boseman laughing. In the caption, she shared her thoughts on her co-star, the first time she had done so since Boseman passed.

Nyong’o said that Boseman was “a man who had great hope.” She described being shattered by the news of Boseman’s passing, saying that she felt hopeless even as she wrote the tribute. She also described Boseman as “ageless” and praise him for his “immortal” energy.

Another Black Panther co-star, Michael B. Jordan, also praised Boseman on his Instagram page. He praised Boseman for paving the way for him in the entertainment industry and how he was like a big brother to him. Jordan also promised to keep Boseman’s legacy alive moving forward.

Both Nyong’o and Jordan were present at the private memorial held for Boseman, along with another Black Panther co-star, Winston Duke.
