Prince Harry, allegedly, had one of his saddest birthdays yet.

According to Star, the royal family didn’t exert any effort to make Prince Harry’s birthday memorable. Other than their birthday greetings for him on social media, the tabloid claimed that no one called the Duke of Sussex or sent his presents.

Even though Meghan Markle organized a virtual birthday celebration for Prince Harry, the source revealed that none of his friends were invited. Rather, it was all Markle’s friends that greeted Prince Harry during the phone call.

“Not one of Harry’s friends were there. It was all Meghan’s showbiz pals who he’s only met once or twice. He felt totally out of place,” the source said.

The source also claimed that Prince Harry wanted to drink alcohol on his birthday. However, Markle prevented him from doing so. As such, he was, allegedly, forced to sneak in a few bottles of beer inside his bedroom.

Prince Harry was unable to leave the awkward celebration immediately because he was, allegedly, worried that Markle would go berserk.

“Her friends just aren’t his scene. It all made him nostalgic for his old life, and his pals in England,” the sources said.

The insider also claimed that Prince Harry’s grief was triggered on his birthday because he just turned 36. And his late mother, Princess Diana was also 36 years old when she passed away. As such, Prince Harry wasn’t, allegedly, in the mood to be social.

As for the royal family, none of them sent Prince Harry a gift. But Markle tried to compensate for this by baking a cake for her husband. She also gave Prince Harry a portrait of the two of them with their 1-year-old son, Archie.

“Archie had everyone in hysterics when he put his hands on the birthday cake. It was adorable,” the source said.

However, one should take the claims made by the tabloid with a grain of salt. It is unlikely for a tabloid to know details about Prince Harry’s private celebrations.

And the fact that the tabloid knows that Archie placed his hands on his dad’s cake just made the story even more unconvincing.

No one knows for sure if the royal family didn’t really send Prince Harry presents. But it’s unlikely that they didn’t call him on his birthday.
