There is yet another twist in the relationship of musician Ray J and reality star Princess Love. Ray J has just filed for divorce from his wife -- just two months after she withdrew her own divorce filing.

Page Six reports that the 39-year-old singer filed for divorce last Monday in Los Angeles. If it pushes through, it will signal the end of the couple’s four-year marriage and definitely affect their two children.

There were certainly signs that the marriage was in trouble from as far back as November of last year. Back then, Princess Love claimed that Ray J had left her alone in Las Vegas while he returned to Los Angeles on his own.

People also took note of the fact that Love had filed for divorce from Ray J back in May of this year. The filing came after Ray J quarantined alone in a hotel during the height of the global coronavirus pandemic, with the singer claiming he did it at Love’s request.

Love withdrew that filing two months later, with a representative for the couple asking for privacy. The representative said that the couple was dealing with and working through the “difficult situation.”

The relationship seemed to have improved after the withdrawal, with Ray J paying tribute to Love during her birthday and calling himself happy and blessed to be married to her. The singer even called on his followers to greet her a happy birthday.

Ray J and Princess Love are just the latest high-profile couple to have a divorce in the spotlight. Just two months ago, Saturday Night Live alum Tracy Morgan filed for divorce, ending a five-year marriage with Megan Wollover.

Morgan and Wollover got married in 2015 after he recovered from a car accident he was involved in. The couple has a seven-year-old daughter named Maven Sonae.

Another divorce probably more contentious than Ray J and Love’s is that of Amber Heard and Johnny Depp. While the divorce was finalized in 2017 and resulted in Heard getting a $7 million settlement, the animosity between the two has extended beyond that and into a multimillion libel suit.

Depp filed a libel case in the United Kingdom against a local British tabloid, with Heard being called on as a witness. The actress described the whole process as “incredibly painful,” especially since it has involved the revelation of some of the more intimate details of her relationship with Depp.

While the two of them are still married, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith also had their marital troubles revealed to the world after singer August Alsina revealed he had an affair with Pinkett Smith.
