Much to the chagrin of the show's massive fanbase, the popular Kardashian-Jenner family announced the end of their long-running reality series dubbed Keeping Up With The Kardashians. The announcement came in the form of a message and a photo, Kim Kardashian shared on her Instagram account on Thursday.

The shocking announcement that the hit reality show will be going off the air after twenty years stirred conversations among fans regarding the exact reason the fashion mogul decided to no longer share her and her family's lives on cameras. While Kim has remained mum and has divulged no details about why the show's coming to an end, it looks like she might have strongly hinted at her lack of interest in being in the spotlight.

Last year, Kardashian West’s business ventures saw a significant shift as she began pursuing a career as a lawyer and even used her celebrity status to advance prison reform causes. Aside from that, she campaigned for the White House on behalf of several imprisoned people, including helping Alice Marie Johnson be granted clemency, USA Today reported.

She shares four children with husband Kanye West, and it is clear that her focus has considerably shifted over the years, although she continues to showcase her love for selfies and fashion on social media. During an intimate interview, Kardashian West for the first time indicated that her days on reality TV were numbered.

Responding to a question about where she sees herself in ten years, Kardashian West told Vogue Arabia that she sees her family living on a ranch in Wyoming. The KUWTK star admitted she would love to occasionally visit Palm Springs and their Los Angeles home, and become a lawyer.

Moreover, Kim revealed that she had evolved from her younger years when she was "embarrassingly obsessed" with garnering popularity. She went on to say in the interview that fame isn't important to her.

Further in the interview, she called out her lack of privacy, claiming she would fancy living a bit out of the public eye. That need for privacy, coupled with her pursuit of a career in law might be the reason why she and the rest of her family have decided to pull the plug on one of the world's most popular reality television shows.

In their Sept. 8 announcement, the Kardashians confirmed that they would be returning for one final season, which will be aired in early 2021. It is likely that the concluding season might show each family member revealing why they decided to end the show.
