Kate Middleton, allegedly, had a showdown with Prince William’s “other woman,” Rose Hanbury last year.

According to New Idea, the showdown took place in June at the State Banquet held by Queen Elizabeth to honor Donald Trump.

The two women were at the State Banquet, but there is no proof that they ever crossed paths. But the tabloid still concocted a story saying that they had a confrontation.

“Kate demanded she speak to the queen’s top aide and said that she wanted to be assured she was sat on the opposite side of the room to Rose, which the queen approved at the last minute knowing how catastrophic it would be if Kate pulled out,” the source said.

The insider also claimed that the Duchess of Cambridge kept a close eye on Prince William throughout the night. This way, he cannot have a chat with Hanbury.

“During their car journey, Kate told William he wasn’t allowed to even make eye contact with Rose, let alone greet her or strike up a conversation with her. Kate ensured her assistant had one eye on Rose the entire time to ensure she never got too close and she was distracted the entire evening, which was very clear for everyone to see,” the source said.

But even though Middleton and Prince William, allegedly, avoided Hanbury throughout the entire evening, there was still awkwardness in the room. And Trump, allegedly, felt it.

“The tension in the room overtook the entire evening – with Trump even making a remark about the awkward atmosphere, which Camilla tried to make light of by making an inappropriate quit about Kate throwing her toys out the pram over a silly squabble – causing Kate to flee in floods of tears,” the source said.

However, one should take the claims made by the tabloid with a grain of salt. Middleton and Hanbury didn’t have a showdown at the State Banquet last year.

And if they did, it is unlikely for just one tabloid to know about the events that took place there.

The State Banquet is also a private event, and it was attended by hundreds of guests. As such, it’s unlikely for Middleton and Hanbury to have crossed paths there.

There is also no confirmation that Middleton requested the queen to keep her away from Hanbury. And the Duchess of Cambridge didn’t also urge her husband to not even look at Hanbury that evening.
