The royal family has been at the center of scandals throughout the past couple of decades.

New Idea recently compiled some of the most scandalous moments involving the royal family starting off Queen Elizabeth and Camilla Parker Bowles’ alleged feud.

According to the publication, the queen refused to forgive the Duchess of Cornwall for ruining Prince Charles’ marriage to Princess Diana. And Camilla and Prince Charles’ affair also dragged the monarchy good name through the mud.

Royal biographer Tom Bower previously revealed how the queen described Camilla as that wicked woman.

But over the years, their relationship improved. And Camilla is now one of the queen’s most trusted allies.

In 2002, Prince Philip made headlines following his racist remarks. While talking to a group of Indigenous Australians, the Duke of Edinburgh asked them if they still throw spears at each other.

He also told British students that they will have slitty eyes if they stay in China for a long time.

There was also a time when Prince Philip was accused of cheating on the queen. According to reports, the dad of four had an affair with Pat Kirkwood while his wife was 8 months pregnant with Prince Charles.

According to palace insiders, Prince Philip even gifted Kirkwood with a Rolls-Royce. But until today, the rumors haven’t been proven to be correct.

Ten years later, Prince Harry, reportedly, went rogue in Vegas. Back then, the Duke of Sussex was photographed playing a game of strip billiards in a Las Vegas hotel room.

The Sun published photos of Meghan Markle’s husband topless while playing and drinking with his friends.

In the 1990s, Prince Charles and Princess Diana brought about the biggest royal family scandal of all time. Prince Charles and Princess Diana separated 11 years after they tied the knot because of Camilla. In 1996, the Prince and Princess of Wales announced their divorce.

Prince Edward and Prince Andrew’s wives, Sophie, Countess of Wessex, and Sarah Ferguson were also embroiled in two different scandals.

Sophie was previously photographed topless. And the scandalous snaps were published by The Sun just days after her wedding to Prince Edward.

Ferguson was also photographed in a compromising position after she separated from the Duke of York. In 1992, businessman John Bryan was photographed seemingly sucking Fergie’s toes.

Despite all of these scandals, the royal family and the British monarchy remains strong.
