Prince Louis turns two on Apr. 23, and Archie Harrison will be turning one on May 6. Prince William and Kate Middleton are planning to host an outdoor BBQ party with close family, while Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will be baking cupcakes in their home to celebrate.

Everyone is practicing social distancing in a bid to restrict the spread of coronavirus. Self-isolating isn't pleasant, but it has encouraged people to come up with creative ways to celebrate their graduations, weddings, birthdays and other life events. The royal family isn't an exception in these unprecedented times.

Prince Louis and Archie Harrison's birthdays are just around the corner. Their parents are bent on celebrating the occasion without ignoring the necessary safety adjustments. Prince William and Kate Middleton were planning to have a grand party for Prince Louis' second birthday on Apr. 23 but that's implausible now, a source told Us Weekly.

As a result, they are going to host a smaller, more intimate celebration instead, the source added. Kate was left with no choice but to call off Louis’ massive birthday party amid the coronavirus pandemic. The celebrations; however, haven't been completely canceled as they will opt to do a relatively smaller party comprising family only.

William is planning to grill some food, but only if the temps are favorable outdoors. Moreover, he plans to include a few kid-friendly activities. William will be cooking some burgers and chicken on BBQ, provided the weather is nice.

Aside from that, William is also likely to include outdoor sports and games such as hide and seek, chase and football for the members of the royal family. Louis will have a cake. He's reportedly so excited about the birthday that is already singing happy birthday to himself.

For those wondering whether or not Queen Elizabeth will attend the party, Cosmopolitan reports that wouldn't be good given that she is 93 years old now. Moreover, she is currently practicing self-isolation with Prince Philip at Windsor Castle, which means, she won't be seen during the celebration.

According to the source, she will be able to see Louis virtually as William has promised that he will FaceTime her with Louis during his birthday celebration. Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have also trimmed their plan for Archie's first birthday on May 6.

As a result, Archie's first birthday party will be attended by just three people, an insider told Us Weekly. Meghan's BFFs, Abigail Spencer, and Jessica Mulroney were slated to be present for Archie's big day, but now Meghan is not willing to take any risks by inviting people over or traveling.
