Even though Harry and his family are looking like they are settling down in the US, it seems that the prince has no plans to apply for a green card just yet.

E! Online reports that despite the recent move, there are no plans for Hary to apply for American citizenship. Their source says that "Harry is not applying for a Green Card or dual citizenship anytime soon, which will come as a surprise to many because that is what most people assumed he'd do on moving to the U.S."

The Sunday Times says that being the husband of a US citizen will be helpful should Harrh want permanent residence status in the country. But if he does do that, he will have to renounce his titles as a royal. Not only that, but his money and all his earnings would also now be subject to US taxes.

The couple formally ended their role as senior members of the royal family last March 31. Before their big move to the US, the couple has been staying at a private residence in Vancouver Island. But just before the US and Canada closed their borders, they have apparently made their way to LA, where it looks like they are looking for a home to settle into.

They brought with them their 10-month-old son Archie, who they will focus on for the next months. Their plans for the future have still not been announced. In their last post in the Sussex Royal account, they wished for the focus to be on the fight against the coronavirus pandemic that has been sweeping the world for the past month.

As of this writing, there are not over 1.2 million coronavirus cases all over the world. Of that number, over 70,000 have died while around 271,000 have recovered.

The US has the most number of positive cases with over 300,000 cases all over the country. And many experts are saying that the worse is yet to come in the country.

With all these going on, it is understandable that Harry and Meghan are just putting their future plans on hold. Right now, they are quarantined with the rest of their family as there is a stay-at-home mandate for the whole of California. They have not been photographed in the US since their move, and all the statement they have made is to say that they are getting their own security team after the POTUS claims he will not be giving them any.
