Prince Harry reportedly had a secret Instagram account that Meghan Markle followed shortly after they met.

In the book Finding Freedom, authors Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand revealed that the Duke of Sussex was quite active on Instagram years ago. But he used a pseudonym to hide his real identity.

Prince Harry reportedly used the Instagram handle @SpikeyMau5, which was inspired by his favorite Canadian DJ, Deadmau5.

And after Prince Harry and Markle’s first date at Soho House’s Dean Street Townhouse in London, the latter started dating the former on social media.

“With no face visible in the profile photo, just a mouse-shaped helmet, it would have meant nothing to most people. But it was in fact Harry’s private account. A big house music fan, he crafted the pseudonym by using part of the name of one of his favorite DJs, Deadmau5,” the authors said.

Scobie and Durand also confirmed the reports that Prince Harry had a secret Facebook account under the pseudonym Spike Wells.

“Spikey came from a Facebook alias that Harry used for an account he had under the name of Spike Wells,” the authors said.

Meanwhile, Scobie and Durand have also debunked some of the most common misconceptions about Prince Harry and Markle. The authors said that it’s not true that Markle and Middleton fought. Rather, it was Prince William and Prince Harry that are having problems in their relationship.

The authors also debunked the rumors that Markle made Middleton cry during Princess Charlotte’s bridesmaids dress fitting. The authors said that the fitting was a struggle because the children weren’t following the instructions. However, it’s not true that Middleton cried.

Scobie and Durand also weighed in on claims that Prince William talked Prince Harry out of marrying Markle, and the latter became furious. The authors said that Prince Harry became upset with how Prince William referred to Markle and not because of his concern.

The authors also said that Markle gave up her entire life for the royal family. She was appearing in Suits as Rachel Zane, but she had to give the role up to marry Prince Harry.

Markle also had to close down her lifestyle blog, The Tig. And she also had to stop using her social media accounts because she wasn’t allowed to have one.

“The courtiers blame Meghan, and some family does,” the authors said.

Markle reportedly told her friends that she was willing to do everything for the royal family.

“But here we are. It’s very sad,” the authors said.
