Chris Cuomo raised quite a few eyebrows during the coronavirus pandemic. Living by his reputation, the popular television journalist recently raised questions about the legitimacy of Florida's coronavirus data. Much to his chagrin, Cuomo ended up receiving backlash for questioning the legitimacy of Florida governor Ron DeSantis's coronavirus data.

Cuomo has been receiving backlash for the past few months for his actions. For instance, he confronted with a cyclist while breaking self-quarantine while he was still recovering from the coronavirus. Aside from that, Cuomo's softball interviews with his brother, Democratic New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo weren't well-received either.

The CNN anchor hasn't refrained from making harsh comments about DeSantis, whose state is currently experiencing an alarming surge in coronavirus cases. Moreover, Cuomo paid no heed to the fact that New York has the highest death toll as compared to any other state, and the governor's involvement in the nursing home controversy.

Cuomo showed a lack of confidence in Florida's latest data provided by the state's health department, showing a notable decline in the number of new cases. Responding to a tweet from ABC News, Cuomo asked if the data from Florida's governor can be trusted. As expected, the Cuomo Prime Time received backlash for his tweet.

Conservative writer A.G. Hamilton reacted to the aforesaid tweet by pointing out that CNN should be disconcerted by Cuomo's actions, particularly because they allowed him to give his brother and governor of the state with worst coronavirus record a special treatment and to make things worse, he is now spreading conspiracies about other governors.

Taking a jab at the CNN anchor, Daily Caller investigative reporter Andrew Kerr noted that his brother's state has been hiding nursing home deaths for a long time. Commentator Ben Shapiro called Cuomo a hack, while Tablet Magazine associate editor Noam Blum vented in a tweet noting that Cuomo, a CNN anchor is throwing out conspiracy theories about a governor who is publicly feuding with his governor brother.

Blum went on to say that on the contrary, they can't trust Chris, telling Cuomo to take a look in his vanity mirror. There has been growing scrutiny over governor Cuomo's decision to force nursing homes to admit patients who tested positive for COVID-19, amid lack of testing for residents, as well as the staff.

After passing this controversial order in March, Cuomo reversed it on May 11 after he signed an executive order to reverse the policy. This stopped hospitals from sending patients who tested positive for coronavirus to nursing homes and extensive testing for staff.
