Peter Shinkoda, who appeared in Daredevil in 2015, claims that Marvel is racist. Shinkoda alleged that one of the executives worked for Marvel removed his and one more Asian actor's narrative completely.

Shinkoda revealed the reason being cut off is his race. The actor claimed that Marvel’s executive doesn't care about the Asian actors. The allegations were made during the discussion on a roundtable and later there was a hashtag #SaveDaredevil trended on social media.

The ongoing virtual comic con seems to reveal many dark secrets of the entertainment industry. Shinkoda was interviewed virtually where he revealed the inside story of Jeph Loeb, who use to work as head of Marvel Television.

Loeb also worked on a Netflix series as an executive producer where he asked the writers of the show to remove the back story of Shinkoda's character named Nobu. Additionally, another Asian actor Wai Ching Ho's character named Madame Gao also got scrapped because of the executive.

Ho belongs from Hong Kong while Shinkoda is Canadian born Japanese. During the video call, the actor disclosed that even though he is hesitant to share the details but he wants to go ahead anyway. Shinkoda said that he doesn't wish to keep secret what's happening behind the curtains.

"Jeph Loeb told the writers' room not to write for Nobu and Gao — and this was reiterated many times by many of the writers and showrunners — that nobody cares about Chinese people and Asian people. There were three previous Marvel movies, a trilogy called Blade that was made where Wesley Snipes kills 200 Asians each movie,” Shinkoda said.

The 49-year-old actor explained that no one cares about Chinese characters in the movie and as a result, the writers had no choice but to stop writing the backstories of these characters. For instance, Shinkoda shared an example where the writers were planning to showcase the journey of Nobu from his native place to America.

There was a medical procedure explained in the backstories that the character had undergone. The character's importance was good enough as he appeared in both the seasons of the Daredevil initially. He maintained the reputation of a Hand in an organization that belonged to the main villains.

Shinkoda disclosed that he had a word with the writers and they expressed their regret of not being able to continue with the backstory. It's not the first time when the Asian star and Loeb have locked horns.
