Actress Jennifer Aniston and popular TV host Jimmy Kimmel, recently, came together to give a pleasant surprise to a nurse who is suffering from COVID-19. 

 

Kimmel is using his popular TV talk show Jimmy Kimmel Live so that people can smile and be happy even amid the outbreak of the deadly pandemic. He joined hands with Friends alum Aniston to surprise a nurse who has been detected with coronavirus. 

 

A cardiovascular nurse employed in St. George, Utah called Kimball Fairbanks was invited to Kimmel’s show. She has been diagnosed with COVID-19 and shared her experience on the show. The nurse has been asked to be in self-isolation for 14 days after she tested positive. 

 

The host wanted to cheer Fairbanks up by inviting her to join the video chat, which came as a pleasant surprise to the nurse. Aniston added she prays to God to bless them all for their tremendous hard work at this crucial time. 

 

The Morning Show star told the nurse that she did not know how to show her gratitude for their consistent battle against the pandemic and putting their health at risk while doing so. The actress called their efforts simply “phenomenal.”

 

On the other hand, the nurse revealed she was unable to cook food because of her condition and had to depend on food delivery services. However, Jen gave a big surprise to the ailing nurse by telling her that she would be getting a gift certificate worth $10,000 from Postmates.

 

Meanwhile, Jimmy Kimmel jested that the nurse has to spend the entire amount in one go. The talk show host also shared that Postmates has gifted similar gift cards to all other nurses who are working on the same floor as Fairbanks, Koimoi.com reports. 

 

Kernel further said Jen has already said what they all wanted to express. He added that everyone is grateful for the contribution of health care workers like her. 

 

In other news, Jennifer Aniston sent across an important message to all her fans through social media. She flaunted her protective mask in a selfie posted on Instagram and encouraged all to not step outside without their homes without a mask amid the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. 

 

The actress said she has faith in people’s “basic goodness” but added that several are not taking adequate steps to make sure the coronavirus curve gets flattened. Jen mentioned some people are more worried that their rights are being compromised when they are told to step out wearing face masks, CNN reports.
