Jennifer Lopez's Nip Slip at 'Ring Them Bells' Concert Sparks Media Buzz

Jennifer Lopez experienced a wardrobe malfunction at the "Ring Them Bells" benefit concert in New York City on May 19, 2025, held at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre to celebrate composer John Kander's 98th birthday. Arriving in a plunging peach gown with feathered sleeves, Lopez suffered a nip slip in front of cameras outside the venue. She continued into the event without acknowledging the incident.
Later that evening, Lopez changed into a white high-neck gown with a long train, adorned with a jewel collar, matching heels, and a silver clutch bag. The benefit concert, hosted by Alan Cumming, featured performances honoring Kander, known for composing musicals like "Cabaret," "Chicago," and "Kiss of the Spider Woman."
Lopez stars in a new film adaptation of "Kiss of the Spider Woman," directed by Bill Condon, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January. The film features Diego Luna as a political prisoner and newcomer Tonatiuh Elizarraraz as his cellmate, who recounts an old movie starring his favorite actress, Ingrid Luna, portrayed by Lopez. At the premiere, Lopez received a standing ovation and stated, "I've been waiting for this moment my whole life."
In addition to her acting role, Lopez co-produced the musical drama alongside her ex-husband Ben Affleck. The couple separated in April 2024 and finalized their divorce in January 2025 after two years of marriage. Despite their separation, they remain connected for the sake of their combined five children.
In a recent interview with Interview Magazine, Lopez discussed her personal growth post-divorce, expressing optimism about her future and stating, "I know I'm a good person. I know I'm a good mom."
The "Ring Them Bells" benefit concert also featured performances from Whoopi Goldberg, Kelli O'Hara, and Jinkx Monsoon. Lopez's stylist, Mariel Haenn, shared photos of the singer's peach gown on Instagram, revealing it was designed by The New Arrivals By Ilkyaz Ozel.
Following the concert, Lopez attended an exclusive afterparty at Bryant Park Grill, wearing a floor-length white gown from Stephane Rolland's Fall 2023 collection, styled with diamond hoop earrings and a sparkly purse.
This appearance comes after Lopez sustained a facial injury during rehearsals for the upcoming 2025 American Music Awards. She shared an Instagram update confirming her recovery, stating, "A week later and a whole lotta ice and I'm good as new." Lopez is scheduled to host the awards show in Las Vegas on May 26, marking her return as host after a decade.
