Prince William is unlikely to invite his brother, Prince Harry, to his future coronation, according to multiple sources familiar with the deepening estrangement between the royal siblings. The pair have not spoken in approximately two years, insiders told Page Six, casting serious doubt on Harry’s participation in the next royal crowning ceremony.

Following Prince Harry’s recent BBC interview in which he said King Charles “won’t speak to me because of this security stuff,” sources close to the royal family described the relationship as irreparable. “I think it’s done … I don’t think there’s [any] coming back from that,” one source stated.

Another royal insider told Page Six, “Before the interview, we thought, ‘Come on William, extend a hand to your brother.’ But now it seems that Harry hasn’t learned s–t.”

Despite the rift, Prince Harry expressed a desire for reconciliation. “I would love reconciliation with my family,” he told the BBC. “There’s no point continuing to fight any more, life is precious.”

Royal historian Hugo Vickers, a friend of the family, noted that while protocol might suggest William invite his brother to his coronation, there is no obligation to do so. “Quite frankly he can do what he likes. It is not set in stone,” Vickers said. “The Duke of Windsor was not invited to [his niece Queen Elizabeth’s] coronation in 1953. There was a lot of discussion about it.”

Speculation has swirled about whether William might strip Harry and Meghan Markle of their HRH titles. However, Vickers dismissed the likelihood. “We know that William is unforgiving anyway,” he said. “But… he won’t strip Harry and Meghan of their titles, it appears vindictive.”

A separate source echoed that view, saying, “William won’t strip them of their titles because they are irrelevant and meaningless at this point. No one thinks [Harry and Meghan] are royal anyway!”

Tensions further escalated earlier this month when Harry, 40, lost his Court of Appeal challenge against the British government’s decision to revoke his publicly funded security. “I can’t see a world in which I would bring my wife and children back to the UK at this point,” Harry told the BBC after the ruling.

His comments about King Charles’s health also raised eyebrows within the royal circle. Harry noted during the interview that he had no idea how long King Charles had left to live,  referring to the monarch’s battle with cancer, a remark that reportedly caused uproar behind palace doors.

Although Harry would receive security protection during events attended by senior working royals, a royal insider suggested that his presence remains unwelcome. “He will get the same amount of security, but [the royal family are] not going to want him there,” the source said.

A representative for Prince Harry declined to comment.
