Meghan Markle allegedly suffered from depression and became a compulsive eating machine after the birth of her son, Archie.

According to Globe, Prince Harry was forced to send his wife to therapy because she’s struggling with her role as a new mother. An unnamed source told the tabloid that Markle has also become a compulsive eating machine, and she gained 37 pounds after her son’s birth.

The insider also dubbed the Duchess of Sussex as chubby and said that she could barely waddle herself out of the house. And there were also claims that Markle was diagnosed with post-partum depression.

According to the source, the only way that Markle is coping with her diagnosis is by eating high-calorie and sugary baked goods.

“Prince Harry’s pleading with Meghan to see specialists, but all she wants to do is sit in her room, sob, and wolf down sweets,” the source said.

However, one should take the claims made by the tabloid with a grain of salt. While it remains unknown if Markle suffered from post-partum depression last year, it is not true that she gained 37 pounds after the birth of Archie.

The Duchess of Sussex needed a longer time to shed off her pregnancy weight compared to her sister-in-law, Kate Middleton. And her photos after Archie’s birth can prove this. However, she didn’t gain more weight after her pregnancy.

Gossip Cop also pointed out how the tabloid tried to make their dubious claims believable to their readers. The tabloid published a photo of Markle seemingly sobbing, which suggests that she’s heartbroken over her weight gain.

However, the photo was from an episode of Suits, where Markle’s character, Rachel Zane got married. As such, she became a tad bit emotional.

The rumor-debunking site also questioned the tabloid’s claim that Markle barely went out of her house after Archie’s birth. Shortly after completing the duration of her maternity leave, Markle returned to her royal duties.

Prince Harry’s wife also attended a series of engagements before she and her husband announced their decision to quit the royal family.

There is also no indication that Markle suffered from post-partum depression. But it is common knowledge that she and Prince Harry were no longer happy with the treatment that they were receiving from the press that’s why they quit.

As of late, Prince Harry and Markle are self-isolating in Beverly Hills with their 1-year-old son.
