President Joe Biden's recurring stumbles in public have sparked concerns about a pressing health issue: a nerve disorder identified as peripheral neuropathy, which is reportedly hampering the 80-year-old leader's mobility. This condition, prevalent among the elderly, causes a degradation of nerve endings in the feet, leading to weakness and impaired coordination.

"Neuropathy involves excessive nerve damage, culminating in diminished muscle control and strength," comments Florida-based Dr. Gabe Mirkin, who has not personally treated Biden. "With age, this is a common phenomenon, but some may experience an accelerated nerve loss, causing stumbling and weakness. It seems that's the case with Joe Biden."

During a White House physical in February, Biden was diagnosed with the condition, characterized by his difficulties in sensing temperature variations in his feet. Despite these symptoms, the White House physician, Dr. Kevin C. O’Connor, deemed Biden physically fit to continue his duties, emphasizing the symptoms as "mild" and stable.

Yet, incidents of Biden's struggle with the neuropathy, such as during the G7 Summit in Japan when he stumbled on a short flight of stairs, have raised eyebrows. Similarly, his stumbles and falls while boarding Air Force One or during domestic outings, like his bike ride at Cape Henlopen State Park near his Delaware home, have drawn attention.

Dr. O’Connor did not identify a specific cause for Biden's neuropathy in his report, noting that approximately half of such cases remain without a determined cause.

Apart from his physical challenges, sources suggest that neuropathy is associated with cognitive decline, a concern frequently raised about Biden. The president has been diagnosed with early-stage dementia symptoms, including memory lapses, frequent disorientation, lack of coordination, and distorted recollections.

Dr. Holly Schiff, a Connecticut psychiatrist who has not treated Biden, believes his cognitive abilities are diminishing at a concerning rate. "All the available evidence implies that President Biden is, indeed, secretly grappling with dementia, and it seems to be progressing rapidly."

Last year, 54 House Republicans requested Biden to undergo a cognitive test, advocating for full transparency regarding the mental capacity of the nation's leader. Recent polls indicate that concerns over Biden's age and fitness have become a significant issue, with 63 percent of Americans expressing doubts about his mental acuity to efficiently govern.

A Democratic operative echoed these sentiments, expressing "deep concern" about Biden's apparent decline. "He looks old, he sounds old, and his health is visibly deteriorating," the source stated. "I doubt he can complete a second term."

A Washington insider added, "This image of an American president faltering is not one we want to portray globally. One can only speculate how much worse it will be four years from now!"
