In what seems to be a remarkable role reversal, Michelle Obama, the former First Lady, is allegedly taking control in her marriage with Barack Obama, the ex-president. There are whispers, however, that friends of the former President are encouraging him to regain some assertiveness.

Informants have confided to GLOBE that Michelle Obama, 59, has emerged victorious in what has been described as a turbulent contest for dominance that was jeopardizing their marriage.

A source close to the couple stated, “Michelle now has a firm grip on the reins of the relationship, with Barack exactly where she wants him." They added, "In the past, he would often oppose her on various matters such as whether to reside in L.A. or the East Coast, who his friends should be, or who he was allegedly flirting with."

According to the insider, Barack has grown weary and wary of the strain caused by their disagreements. He is now said to be more inclined to avoid confrontations due to her strong character, often agreeing with her to keep the peace.

GLOBE had previously reported that the couple's tenure in the White House was marred by tension, as Barack was frequently busy dealing with international affairs.

The former president, now 61, is seemingly showing remorse for not giving enough attention to Michelle's needs during his time as the world leader.

He admitted in a recent interview, "Being outside of the White House has given me more time to spend with her," acknowledging that their daughters, Malia, 24, and Sasha, 22, have always been Michelle’s primary concern.

He added, "Despite being an engaged father, I didn't realize the extent of the stress and tension it caused her. Now that the girls are doing well, she's become a bit more accepting of my shortcomings.”

However, there are claims that Barack's apparent submissive stance is not finding favor among his circle in Washington, D.C., where he still resides part-time. An insider commented, "Michelle is seen as someone who desires power, while Barack is perceived as excessively accommodating."

GLOBE reported on the insider's comments.
