Renowned talk show host Wendy Williams, 58, has unexpectedly withdrawn from a forthcoming appearance at the Atlanta Women's Expo, amidst ongoing health issues, as reported by the US Sun.

Scheduled to deliver a speech at the Expo, which takes place this weekend, Williams had commanded a significant speaker's fee of $25,000. Instead, attendees will see a pre-recorded video of the host, apologizing for her late pullout, confirmed by a representative for the expo.

Sources revealed that Williams' capacity to perform and her general well-being have been points of concern leading up to the event. The insider was quoted, "Wendy's ability to perform has been rocky at best. She can put together a sentence one day but not the next," raising questions about the long-term prospects of her health.

Promotions featuring Williams have been entirely removed from the Expo's website, though as recently as April 6, a social media post had advertised her scheduled slot on Saturday at 1 p.m.

Williams' health struggles have been under the public eye, as concerns from her family and friends escalated following the conclusion of her namesake talk show. Williams has been managing Grave's disease, an autoimmune condition that affects the thyroid, while her behaviour has reportedly become erratic.

Her brother, Tommy, shared his worries with Page Six after an odd incident where Williams claimed she had wed an NYPD officer during a phone call. He said, "I’ve been with Wendy since the very beginning and she’s never talked like this... It’s a precarious situation."

Further compounding her difficulties, Williams has been wrestling with substance abuse. In September 2022, she checked into a rehab facility, as first reported by Page Six. Following a two-month stay, the TV icon claimed to feel "better than ever."

Despite her health battles, Williams continues to work on various initiatives, including an upcoming podcast. However, her decision to drink alcohol again in March, as part of a "new lease on life" celebration, according to her representative, has raised concerns, especially given her recent stint in rehab.
