Country music icon Blake Shelton's passion for fried delicacies while filming his popular TV show 'Barmageddon' has reportedly had some aromatic consequences, causing discomfort among the crew, according to insiders.

The 46-year-old singer-songwriter, co-creator of the show along with Carson Daly, can frequently be found at his Nashville-based bar chain, Ole Red, where the program is filmed. Shelton's affection for the greasy fare on offer there seems to be causing quite a stink, both literally and figuratively.

"Blake's having a blast with the show and better still he gets to work at his Ole Red saloon, which is like a second home to him and where his favorite food is being served until the wee hours," reveals a source. However, this gastronomic indulgence is taking a toll on his digestion, and those in close quarters are feeling the effects.

The bar's menu, laden with fried treats like chicken wings, tater-tot poutine, and redneck nachos, is too tempting for the country star to resist. An insider claims that Shelton is continuously munching throughout the shooting days, turning snack time into an all-day affair.

"Food isn’t part of the show, but from the moment Blake walks in the door until he leaves at the end of a shoot day there are tables just piled with the stuff and any time the cameras aren’t rolling he’s stuffing his face," the insider discloses. The singer's favorites include pulled pork sandwiches, pretzels, nachos, and he isn't averse to indulging in a beer now and then.

However, the continuous feasting has led to some undesirable side effects. Over the past year, insiders have noted that Shelton's love of fried food has contributed to noticeable weight gain. Moreover, his gastronomic indulgence is reportedly affecting his personal ambiance. As the insider wryly comments, "He isn’t coming out of these pig-outs smelling like a rose."
