Reese Witherspoon is concentrating on her family and career after announcing her separation from Jim Toth. According to PEOPLE, a source said that the decision to divorce Toth, 52, was challenging for Witherspoon, 47, but she is now doing better and is determined to focus on her children and work. The couple announced their intention to divorce in March.

The source said, "The divorce decision was not an easy one for her. It was rough to reach the decision and to announce it," and added, "Reese is doing much better now though. She has no regrets and is just focused on her kids and work."

Witherspoon and Toth have a 10-year-old son, Tennessee James. Witherspoon also shares a daughter, Ava Elizabeth, 23, and son, Deacon Reese, 19, with her ex-husband Ryan Phillippe.

The source continued, "She has a big group of loyal friends that she leans on," and added, "There is no drama with Jim. They co-parent and this is the focus."

The couple announced their divorce in a joint statement on March 24, just a few days before their 12-year wedding anniversary. They emphasized their commitment to their son and family as they navigate the next chapter of their lives, asking for privacy and respect during this time.

Witherspoon recently made her first public appearance since the split at the premiere of Apple TV+'s The Last Thing He Told Me.

A previous source told PEOPLE that Witherspoon "has a lot of support" from friends following the divorce and is optimistic about her future. They added, "Reese is moving on. There is no drama and she's just focused on her son. She and Jim share custody. They want things to be as smooth as possible for Tennessee."

Witherspoon and Toth were married in March 2011.
