Kate Middleton reportedly struggled with what she should do with her life while Prince William was at Sandhurst.

In the book, William’s Princess, royal editor Robert Jobson talked about the time when Prince William went to Sandhurst after graduating from the University of St. Andrews in 2005.

He said that while Prince William was busy with his military training, Middleton had to face her own battle. This period in her life was reportedly more perilous compared to what Prince William experienced.

After all, the Duke of Cambridge’s life has been mapped out and rigid due to his military discipline. Middleton, on the other hand, faced the daunting prospect of figuring out what to do with herself while her boyfriend was away.

Middleton’s position in Prince Willam’s wife was also still up in the air. After all, they just graduated from the university and Prince William still hasn’t proposed to her.

According to Jobson, Middleton had to contend with a life filled with contradictions presented by the uncomfortable status of being a middle-class royal-in-waiting.

A source told Jobson that the future queen consort is not someone who would rest on her laurels.

In an article for Vanity Fair, royal author Vicky Ward said that Middleton was in such an awkward spot before Prince William proposed to her. After all, she still wasn’t entitled to any royal benefits such as security. She wasn’t also receiving any guidance on what to wear and how to present herself in public.

But Middleton still managed to succeed in her own right. And she patiently waited for Prince William to propose to her. The proposal took place in 2010 during their vacation.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge tied the knot at Westminster Abbey in 2011. Their nuptials were attended by hundreds of guests including Queen Elizabeth, Prince Philip, Prince Charles, Camilla Parker Bowles, Prince Harry, and the other members of the royal family.

Two years after they tied the knot, Prince William and Middleton welcomed their eldest son, Prince George. Princess Charlotte was born in 2015, while Prince Louis was born in 2018.

As of late, there are rumors that Middleton and Prince William could be expecting their fourth child together. New Idea claimed that the likelihood of Middleton getting pregnant increased since she and Prince William have been self-isolating at Anmer Hall together.

However, Kensington Palace hasn’t made an official announcement regarding Middleton’s fourth pregnancy.
