The internet is in an uproar following Nick Cannon's recent declaration of wanting to have his 13th child with Taylor Swift. Amid the news of Swift's breakup with Joe Alwyn, Cannon seized the opportunity to share his aspirations of fathering another child, this time with the "Lavender Haze" singer. Already a father to 12 children by six different women, the actor-rapper's comment has been met with significant disapproval, particularly from Swift's fans.

Swift's fans, also known as Swifties, took to Twitter to criticize Cannon for his controversial statement. One user wrote, "nick cannon needs to leave Taylor swift alone and schedule a neutering." Columnist Amy Alkon added, "This is gross. Nick is dad to 12 children with six different women. You are not 'dad' in any meaningful sense of the world if you drop sperm in 12 women, get them pregnant, and then go on your way."

Another Twitter user commented, "could Nick Cannon be a bigger creep? he already has way too many kids. pretty sure Taylor Swift wouldn't touch that guy with a 10ft pole. and it's just not okay to say something like that. this freak needs to be sterilized before he spreads his degenerate genes even more."

The backlash began after Cannon expressed his willingness to father a child with Swift on the April 10 episode of "The Howard Stern Show." Despite previously stating he had no plans to add more children to his family, Cannon changed his tune after learning of Swift and Alwyn's breakup. The "Masked Singer" host praised Swift for being an incredible songwriter and admired her vulnerability and openness in her music.

Cannon went on to explain how he and Swift share similar dating experiences, leading him to believe they would understand each other. He jokingly mentioned that his "spidey sense" was activated when he heard the news of Swift's breakup, prompting him to consider having a child with her.

Before his recent comment about Swift, Cannon had welcomed 12 children with six different women. In 2022 alone, he fathered Legendary Love with Bre Tiesi, Onyx Ice with LaNisha Cole, Rise Messiah with Brittany Bell, Beautiful Zeppelin with Aby de la Rosa, and Halo Marie with Alyssa Scott. He is also the father of Mariah Carey's twins, Moroccan and Monroe; Powerful Queen and Golden with Bell; and Zion Mixolydian, Zillion Heir, and Zen with Scott.

Tragically, Cannon's son Zen passed away in December 2021 at just 5 months old after being diagnosed with a brain tumor.
