Jonathan Majors, a prominent actor known for his work in Marvel's 'Ant-Man' movie and Michael B. Jordan's 'Creed III,' was arrested in New York City on Saturday on charges of strangulation, assault, and harassment. Despite the accusations, Majors' representative insists he "has done nothing wrong" and is looking forward to clearing his name.

The arrest took place after police responded to a 911 call at an apartment in the Chelsea neighborhood. A preliminary investigation revealed that a 33-year-old male, identified as Majors, was involved in a domestic dispute with a 30-year-old female. The victim informed police she was assaulted, sustaining minor injuries to her head and neck. She was taken to a nearby hospital in stable condition.

The alleged incident reportedly began when the couple, returning home from a bar in Brooklyn, got into an argument in a taxi. The victim, purportedly Majors' girlfriend, accused him of becoming angry after she confronted him about another woman texting him. According to the alleged victim, Majors grabbed her hand, slapped her, and put his hands around her neck.

Majors was taken into custody without incident and has since been released. The actor, who has received rave reviews for his performances and is considered a rising star, was even a presenter at the Oscars a few weeks ago.

Majors has an extensive career in the entertainment industry, with long-term plans to play Kang, a key villain in Marvel Studios' upcoming projects, including the headlining role in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. He recently appeared in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and is rumored to be part of Loki's second season.
