Tom Selleck allegedly wants to land a role in Yellowstone but Harrison Ford is blocking his casting.

In its Jan. 30 issue, Globe claimed that Selleck and Ford have not been getting along well with each other. After all, the former has been bragging about the fact that he was the first choice to play the role of Indiana Jones in Raiders of the Lost Ark.

A source claimed that Selleck’s guts have not been sitting well with Ford either.

“Tom loves to tell the story of how he was the first choice to play Indiana Jones in Raiders of the Lost Ark that Stephen Spielberg and George Lucas actually gave it to him, but he had to back out because he was already contracted to do Magnum P.I. He knows Harrison doesn’t like it, but he keeps bragging and rubbing it in,” the source said.

The source also said that Selleck won’t stop at anything until he lands a role in Yellowstone. After all, he thinks he can be a wonderful addition to the project.

“There’s no doubt Taylor would go for it if Tom’s available depending on Blue Blood’s schedule. But just the fact that Tom’s considering it has pals predicting fireworks because Harrison’s had a chip on his shoulder over Tom for the longest time,” the source said.

This isn’t the first time that Selleck and Ford were pitted against each other. In fact, this has been old news for veteran actors. But even if this is the case, there is no proof that Selleck wants to star in Yellowstone. And if he does, Ford doesn’t have the capacity to block his casting.

After all, Selleck could indeed be a wonderful addition to the hit series. So, he and Ford wouldn’t have any other choice but to co-exist and work together. And if they really can’t do so, it’s unlikely for Selleck to insist on a role just to upset his fellow actor.

By the looks of it, the tabloid is just pitting Selleck and Ford against each other for click bait purposes. But there’s no indication that the two are even feuding with each other.

It’s not also true that Ford is upset with Selleck bragging about his Indiana Jones role. Since this happened decades ago, everyone must have already moved on from it.
