Jeremy Renner is recovering well following his recent accident in Nevada.

But an unnamed source told Life & Style that the Bourne Legacy actor is still struggling to come to terms with what happened. After all, his accident took place in Nevada, which is a place that he loves dearly.

“He loves his Nevada home; it’s his sanctuary. He’s all about the outdoors. He’s very hands-on. Working the land and getting dirty is his thing,” the source said.

The source added that Renner is grateful to still be alive and well. And he’s also thankful to all his friends who checked up on him.

“His celebrity pals like Tom Cruise, Paul Rudd, Robert Downey Jr., Amy Adams, Scarlett Johansson, Forest Whitaker, Chris Evans – they’ve all reached out. Jeremy isn’t one of these big ego stars. He’s a normal, regular guy, who’s beloved by his peers,” the source said.

Weeks after Renner was hospitalized, Variety confirmed that he has finally checked out of the facility. The publication also confirmed that the actor will be continuing his recovery at home.

On Jan. 1, Renner got into an accident after he tried to help remove a family member’s car from the snow. His snow plow ended up running him over causing him to get serious injuries.

Immediately after the incident, Renner was rushed to the hospital where he received treatment.

On Jan. 5, the actor appeared in a video to tell his fans that he’s getting better. At the time, he also joked about enjoying a spa day at the hospital.

On Twitter, Renner’s co-stars from the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) tweeted his words of encouragement and support as he was recovering from the accident.

As of late, it’s unclear if Renner’s accident will affect his busy schedule. After all, even though he’s already out of the hospital, he still needs some time to recover fully from the accident.

Renner is known for playing the role of Hawkeye in MCU. He also starred in “The Town,” “American Hustle,” “Hansel & Gretel,” “Tag,” “Mission: Impossible,” “Arrival,” “The Founder,” “North Country,” and more.

Jenner has also made multiple appearances in “Avengers” as Hawkeye. He is slated to reprise his role in “Avengers: The Kang Dynasty” in 2025.
