Kate Middleton is beginning her year of work in line with her mission of raising awareness of the impact of early childhood years. It comes as she made her first solo royal engagement of the year, visiting an early education center for children.

People said the Princess of Wales went to Foxcubs Nursery in Luton earlier on Wednesday. As noted, it is a free childcare and early education center for young ones, adding that Early Years Alliance runs it on top of the 70 other similar hubs for kids aged two to five.

The senior royal is said to have arrived at the nursery shortly before 11 in the morning. It is also noted that the area is about an hour from Windsor, where she, Prince William, and their three children reside.

During the engagement, Kate Middleton spent time with a couple of children at the nursery. She was at the sand pit table at one point, goofing around with the kids, as per the magazine.

The visit is said to be part of the future Queen Consort’s work in Early Childhood, which the outlet noted to be a key priority of her royal platform.

Kate Middleton launched The Royal Centre for Early Childhood in June 2021.

As per the official website of The Royal Foundation, it aims to drive awareness of and action on the impact of early years to help society for the future.

At the time of the launch, People shared that the then-Duchess of Cambridge noted how she wanted to “raise awareness of why the first five years of life are just so important for our future life outcomes, and what we can do as a society to embrace this golden opportunity to create a happier, more mentally healthy, more nurturing society.”

Wednesday’s solo outing of Kate Middleton comes days after she and Prince William made their first joint public engagement for the year.

The royal couple stepped out Thursday and officially opened Royal Liverpool University Hospital, where they later met with the staff, according to BBC.

It also noted that the venue, which took over from the old Liverpool Royal Hospital after becoming operational in autumn, has become the biggest British hospital to provide all in-patients with ensuite rooms.

Meanwhile, aside from the outing being the Prince and Princess of Wales’ first joint engagement for the year, reports noted that it also marked their first public appearance since the highly anticipated memoir of Prince Harry titled “Spare,” hit the shelves.
