Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are once again being criticized for constantly comparing themselves to Princess Diana.

In his book Spare, Prince Harry referenced his late mother in several of his stories. He talked about Princess Diana’s death, the late royal’s marriage to King Charles, her relationship with Queen Consort Camilla or the lack thereof, and so much more.

But it is Prince Harry’s constant comparisons with how Princess Diana was treated by the media and how he and Markle were treated by the British media that got critics talking.

Royal expert Kinsey Schofield slammed Prince Harry and Markle for saying that they cannot compare themselves to Princess Diana. After all, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are the ones courting the media to give them coverage.

The media, on the other hand, regularly covered Princess Diana because she was of interest to them.

Schofield also accused Prince Harry and Markle of being hypocritical when it comes to their stance on the media.

“I do think that Harry and Meghan contradict themselves a lot in one specific instance in this idea of developing an entire documentary around hating the press when you are using the press. I think that is a weakness of Harry and Meghan. [They’re] constantly comparing themselves to Diana. Diana did not need media. Diana received media and she found a way to use it in her favor,” she said (via Cheat Sheet).

Meanwhile, body language expert Judi James recently talked about Prince Harry’s appearance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert.

She said that it was evident how Prince Harry enjoyed the media attention that he got from the audiences of the talk show.

“With his pink, shiny and rounded cheeks and his gleaming, wide-eyed facial expression, Harry still looks like a man in a state of thrilled excitement after spilling more royal beans on the Stephen Colbert show,” she told Express.

James added that Prince Harry did not also show any signs of flagging when he waved to the fans with an open mouth that created feelings of empathy and recognition.

As of late, it’s unclear if Prince Harry has other scheduled appearances to promote his memoir. But after two days since it was released, Spare has become one of this year’s bestsellers across the world.
