Kate Hudson allegedly wants to add a new job to her resume.

According to National Enquirer, after years of dating musicians, Hudson realized that it was now time for her to release her own music. After all, the actress has a knack for singing and performing.

A source claimed that Hudson is determined to release a full-length album sometime this year. And she hopes that her fans would support her latest venture.

“Kate had these ultra-talented lovers who have told her what a beautiful singing voice she has. But she’s always said, ‘Nah, I’m an actor.’ She’s finally realized she isn’t getting any younger and needs to strike out on her own singing career now or regret it the rest of her life,” the source said.

The source added that dating musicians for the most part of her life has taught Hudson a thing or two about singing and performing.

“Kate says she’s learned a ton from Chris, Matt, and Danny, and they’re all encouraging her to reach for the stars. She also wants to shake up her life and do something different,” the source said.

The source added that Hudson also became convinced that she can do well as a singer since she was nominated for an Oscar for her role as a music groupie in Almost Famous.

“And now she can hit the road and maybe have some groupies of her own,” the source concluded.

However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt. Even though it’s true that Hudson is a talented singer, the actress has not expressed any desire to release an album let alone do it this year.

If Hudson eventually decides to pursue a career in singing, she will most definitely be successful at it. But this doesn’t mean that this is what she wants to focus on right now.

Hudson’s role as a groupie in Almost Famous doesn’t also have anything to do with her alleged desire to become a singer. After all, she was simply portraying a character in the film.

This proves that the tabloid is just speculating on what Hudson could do next if she won’t be acting in movies on TV shows yet. But until she makes an official announcement about wanting to release an album then there’s no reason to believe the tabloid’s claims.
