Experts believe Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will receive an invitation to King Charles III’s coronation next year.

Express UK reported that Richard Palmer recently shared an insight into the matter, claiming that the former working royals will obtain an invitation from the British Monarch. As noted, he discussed his thoughts during an exchange in an episode of the Daily Express’s “Royal Round-Up” podcast.

The royal editor for the Daily Express is said to have claimed that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are likely to “be invited,” as he believes “the King wants to keep relations with his son." He added that he would even be "very surprised” if the couple would not receive an invitation.

Palmer reiterated that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle “will be invited,” but he noted that their attendance “will be another matter,” as per the publication.

The expert is said to have later pointed out, as well, some issues that may arise from their attendance at the coronation. He said, “One of the issues will be, will they take attention away if they do turn up? Will they be booed?”

Despite this, the royal editor told podcast host Pandora Forsyth that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex being present at the event is “more likely than unlikely.”

The discussions about Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s invitation and attendance to King Charles III’s coronation next year have become more apparent these past few days. It comes as the pair’s highly anticipated Netflix documentary series, “Harry & Meghan,” has become available for streaming on the platform.

The first three episodes of the material dropped on the platform on December 8. The second half followed suit and premiered a week later.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex made several new claims in the documentary series, reportedly causing some to call for the stripping of their titles and exclusion in the upcoming coronation of King Charles III alongside Queen Consort Camilla.

Members of the British Royal Family, along with Buckingham Palace and Kensington Palace, have yet to release an official comment regarding the claims and the documentary series.

Meanwhile, well-placed sources recently told the Daily Mail that King Charles III had extended an olive branch to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, allegedly telling them they will be welcome in the historic event next year.

As claimed to the publication, the Duke of Sussex “is his son and His Majesty will always love him.” It is also added that “while things are difficult at the moment, the door will always be left ajar.”

A different source also told the outlet, which published the claims on Friday, that rescinding the invitation is “unlikely” even if the royal-born Prince would make further distressing accusations in his memoir, “Spare,” which will drop in January.
