Demi Moore has vowed to make every day count, especially after her ex-husband, Bruce Willis was diagnosed with aphasia.

According to Star, Moore isn’t always able to be with Willis, but she’s in regular contact with her ex-husband and Willis’ wife, Emma.

“She’s taking every opportunity she can to spend time with him. If she’s not there by his side, she’s calling on the phone just so Bruce can hear her voice. They know he won’t be around forever so they’re cherishing every single moment,” the source said.

The source said that Willis and Moore also struggled to come to terms with their divorce in 2000. But after they split, they got closer to each other and even became best friends.

“Bruce has been a friend for Demi to lean on over the years and vice versa. It was always a special time. The family traditions they loved continued, like their pajama parties, and game nights. Demi would host birthday parties at her house in L.A. and Bruce and Emma and the kids would be there,” the source said.

Moore also forged a special bond with Bruce’s wife Emma. And if there are issues that the exes need to deal with, Emma would usually serve as their middleman.

At the end of the day, everyone in Willis’ family is united in making sure that he lives the best years of his life. And they are also doing everything that they can to make him happy.

“There are days when they see glimpses of the old Bruce, but they are brief and far between. It seems he’s slipping further away from them and it breaks their heart. The girls can’t imagine Christmas without Bruce. It’s been painful to see him deteriorate. The older girls miss the old Bruce – the one who used to tease them about their boyfriends and give unsolicited advice,” the source said.

This is not the first time that Willis made headlines because of his diagnosis. But he hasn’t been given any updates regarding his condition.

What is only known is that he has been living with his family and children and they are all making sure that he is well taken care of.

And this Christmas, it is guaranteed that they will all celebrate the occasion as a happy and united family.
