Jamie Chung is opening up about the “rewarding” and “fulfilling” life she has as a mother of twins.

In an exclusive exchange with E! News, the 39-year-old actress talked about parenthood, including how her views about having children changed after becoming one herself. She revealed her past fears about it, especially before expanding her family with Bryan Greenberg.

The “Once Upon A Time” actress told the publication that a lot of her peers, including people who are her age, “were so focused on [their] career and hitting these life goals.” She noted that they were “so afraid of losing identity” because of it, adding that she “certainly was” feeling that way.

Jamie Chung explained in the engagement why she had those fears then, saying, “I don't want to have to make the sacrifices, and I don't want to lose everything that I've worked for and who I am.”

However, things have seemingly changed after welcoming her and Greenberg’s twins in October 2021.

The “Sucker Punch” actress stated that it is an “irony” that in the past year, she “chose to stay home to raise my kids.” She also pointed out that she “learned more about myself than I [ever] have.”

Chung continued in the exchange, “When I stopped resisting the role of being a parent—it goes back to losing oneself—you quickly realize what you're fighting is growth.”

The “Real World” alum and the “One Tree Hill” actor, who tied the knot in 2015, announced that they secretly welcomed their twins in October 2021.

At the time, Us Weekly noted that the celebrity couple did not make any pregnancy announcement prior to becoming parents. But, she has since revealed that they welcomed their twins via surrogate.

Bryan Greenberg and Jamie Chung made the announcement on Instagram, with the actor posting a clip of himself while the two newborn babies rest on his chest. For her part, the actress shared the same video to her Stories on the platform.

Elsewhere in the exchange with E! News, published Friday, the “Eden” star said being a mother has become one of her greatest strengths. She revealed that she had the realization about being “capable of much more,” adding that she “thought I was only able to juggle so much but I can do it all before noon.”

Jamie Chung later emphasized, though, that having twins and raising them is “a little harder,” as it is “certainly more work.” But, even so, she pointed out that it is “possible” and “absolutely rewarding,” noting that the past year has been “really exciting” and “really fulfilling.”
