The 2022 Earthshot Prize Awards Ceremony will see many faces and names across industries. As claimed, Prince William and Kate Middleton want to highlight “incredible” individuals during the event.

A source close to the working royals told People that the Prince and Princess of Wales want to use the platform of the ceremony to give a spotlight and “shine a light on some incredible people doing incredible things.”

This comes as the lineup for the event has emerged across media platforms.

The magazine shared that Billie Eilish will lead the musical lineup at the royal couple’s upcoming big night in Boston. As noted, she will perform on stage alongside her brother, FINNEAS.

People continued that the roster of performers for this year’s Earthshot Prize Awards also includes Ellie Goulding, Annie Lennox, and Chloe x Halle.

The event, which will take place on Friday, December 2, at the MGM Music Hall in Fenway, will see Kate Middleton and Prince William on their last day in the United States. It is a three-day trip, marking their first visit to the country since 2014 when they went to New York City.

The magazine also said that the Princess of Wales will hand out one of the prestigious prizes on the night of the ceremony. As for the Prince of Wales, he will make the closing remarks.

Some well-known personalities will award the prizes to this year’s winners. They are said to include Rami Malek, Catherine O’Hara, and Shailene Woodley.

Meanwhile, Korean-American actor and producer Daniel Dae Kim and BBC Radio’s Clare Amfo will host the event, per the magazine.

Earlier in October, an insider shared with Us Weekly that Prince William and Kate Middleton were “excited” about their trip to the United States. As added, they were also “hoping to boost their royal profile across the pond.”

The Prince and Princess of Wales were not reportedly taking the upcoming trip “lightly,” with the same source noting that they had “been brainstorming with their team about the most effective ways to make a positive impact” in the country.

It was claimed, as well, that they were “taking a hands-on approach with speeches and engagements.”

Elsewhere, Page Six recently learned other details about the trip from sources.

One insider, who is said to be close to Kate Middleton and Prince William, claimed that the Earthshot Prize is the royal-born Prince’s “Super Bowl moment.” He reportedly "wants to use the platform in a positive, optimistic way to shine a way on climate change and the environment.”

Meanwhile, a palace source told the publication, which published the claims on November 26, that it all started for the Prince of Wales “back in 2018 to make a bigger impact on climate change and wider issues including nature and air quality.”
