Landon Barker is opening up about his close relationship with his father, Travis Barker.

E! News said that the 19-year-old musician remains in awe of the 47-year-old artist, adding that he cherishes their bond as a father and son. It comes after he spoke to the outlet for an exclusive interview published Friday, revealing his thoughts about their close ties.

Landon told the publication that Travis is “always in my corner.” He also stated that his father is “always there for me as I am for him.”

The outlet later recalled that this seemingly became apparent when the “Holiday” rapper had his solo show in October. As noted, Barker performed an unreleased material they worked on together during the event.

Landon Barker, whom he shares with his former wife, Shanna Moakler, is the first child of Travis Barker. The couple welcomed their son in October 2003, with Page Six noting that “Landon” is taken from the artist’s middle name.

Us Weekly recalls in a report that the Blink-182 drummer and the model began their relationship in 2002. They tied the knot two years later, although the outlet does not provide details about the ceremony.

The two personalities welcomed their second child later in 2005. Earlier that year, their family’s reality television show titled “Meet The Barkers” premiered on MTV.

Meanwhile, Landon Barker gushed about Travis Barker elsewhere in the interview with E! News. It comes as the musician is reuniting with Mark Hoppus and Tom DeLonge for a world tour and new music.

The rapper told the publication that the “best way to say it is he’s making s*** happen,” adding that his father does “things that he genuinely enjoys.”

He continued that the Blink-182 drummer seemingly prioritizes “what he wants,” whether it may be “putting Blink back together” or “being in the studio.” But, “whatever it is,” he shared that “people are impressed by it and people enjoy it.”

Landon later added in the exchange, “I feel like he’s really just doing what makes him happy.”

News broke earlier last month that the original lineup of Blink-182, composed of Travis Barker, Mark Hoppus, and Tom DeLonge, is reuniting for new music and a world tour.

At the time, E! News said the official announcement came from Live Nation, with the press release stating that the tour will kick off in March 2023. It was also revealed that the band will make stops in Australia, Europe, Latin America, New Zealand, and North America.

In the same report, published in October, the publication noted that Blink-182 would release a new single titled “EDGING,” which officially dropped on October 14, 2022.
