Hollywood allegedly turned their back on Matthew Perry after he criticized Keanu Reeves in his memoir Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing.

In his book, Perry jokingly said that a lot of celebrities already passed away but Reeves is still among them. He later apologized for the statement and said that he should’ve just used his name instead of Reeves.

Perry also explained that he didn’t have anything against Reeves. It just so happened that he thought of the actor while he was writing that particular line.

Now, Woman’s Day is claiming that a lot of people in Hollywood are upset with Perry’s carelessness.

“They all can appreciate he’s got to sell books but going after Keanu – that’s the final straw,” the source said.

The source also claimed that even Perry’s Friends co-stars were not impressed with what he said about Reeves.

And they are not also thrilled to know that Perry also mentioned some of them in his memoir.

Star also published a similar story about Perry last week. The tabloid claimed that the actor’s Friends co-stars are thinking of a way for them to stop the actor from spreading more stories about his former cast members.

“They were texting and talking amongst each other. They were brainstorming what he could dredge up about the past,” the source said.

However, the source also claimed that Perry is just doing everything that he can to make sure that his memoir would sell. After all, he needs the money especially since he doesn’t have any new projects.

But it is also important to note that the tabloid’s claims were in stark contrast to what another source told US Weekly. The unnamed source said that Perry’s Friends co-stars are actually very proud of him.

“[They’re] all very supportive and proud of him to be coming clean and giving himself closure in so many areas. There was a wariness in the build-up to the release for sure, that he may have spilled a lot more embarrassing secrets than he did,” the source said.

As of late, Reeves has not responded to Perry’s statement. And no one knows if he will ever will. But it is possible for Perry to have reached out to Reeves privately and explained what he meant by what he said.
